  • Love this place! The service is very friendly and fast even on a crowded day. You are able to modify almost any drink you order. Today I got a large Ice Caramel Machiattao with Coconut cream and it was refreshing. My friend got a medium Frozen Mocha which she said was amazing upon taking her first sip. Affordable, delicious locally owned coffee!

  • The service is fast and accurate. Coffee was really good. We came everyday while on our trip and never had a bad cup. Even when people were being pushy for their orders the baristas handled it all very well. Tip them! They are awesome!

  • Beautiful little shop. My chai latte was delicious and made with care. And the person who waited on me was one of the nicest people I have encountered on Maui (which is saying something, as almost everyone is very pleasant). I'll be back!

  • I was researching cafes on Maui and thought Lava Java in Kihei looked good. It surpassed all expectations and I went back twice during my vacation. The coffee itself was the best I had on Maui and the employees were super nice. Spring for the "local" brew you won't regret it. Nothing better than a little afternoon jolt after a morning at the beach. Parking: Ample off-street parking.

  • Great location, friendly and helpful staff and really great coffee. We so appreciated that they had a good selection of milk options, as well as sugar syrup flavors. Went back twice because we were so impressed!
