I was researching cafes on Maui and thought Lava Java in Kihei looked good. It surpassed all expectations and I went back twice during my vacation. The coffee itself was the best I had on Maui and the employees were super nice. Spring for the "local" brew you won't regret it. Nothing better than a little afternoon jolt after a morning at the beach. Parking: Ample off-street parking.

Beautiful little shop. My chai latte was delicious and made with care. And the person who waited on me was one of the nicest people I have encountered on Maui (which is saying something, as almost everyone is very pleasant). I'll be back!

Coconut Mac Nut Latte was perfect. If you don’t like your drinks too sweet…. This is it! Iced Chai latte possibly best on island!
